This is a somewhat complicated discussion. BUT it is terribly important to your health that you come to understand it in the end. Each time through you will pick up some more important material. You will learn much about basic mitochondial operation. So many KEY aspects of your health are covered and related to each other. PLEASE keep at it. Being Overweight is THE Risk factor for SUGAR Diabetes

Being overweight is the largest risk factor for SUGAR diabetes. As you gain weight (See Overweight Protocol) your insulin becomes less effective because enlarged fat cells reduce the efficiency of insulin. Losing just 20% of your excess weight can increase your insulin efficiency by 100%. Excess weight is a BIGGIE!

    

Exercise to include Walking is highly recommended for SUGAR Diabetes

Building muscles can be an effective prevention/treatment for SUGAR diabetes. Your muscles provide storage for glucose resulting in less insulin production and more stable blood sugar levels. Chromium is often deficient in diabetics for several reasons. The Junk Foods associated with SUGAR diabetes usually contain little to no chromium. The sugar and sugar like high GI foods often leading to SUGAR diabetes will pull the little chromium you do have out of your body. IMO taking 1000 mcg of chromium picolinate per day is a MUST for anyone diabetic or prediabetic.

    

Fiber is almost Always low in SUGAR Diabetics

Since sugar diabetes is associated with a diet high in processed food and processed foods often have very little fiber it is not surprising a sugar diabetic is getting far too little fiber. All this is quite easy to change GET OFF the processed foods! This will not only help solve your diabetes problems but also your CVD and CANCER problems as well. Such a deal!

     

Magnesium is OFTEN lacking in SUGAR Diabetics

“Magnesium is known to be deficient in over 68% of the US population, and more so in diabetics who waste magnesium more than others when blood sugars are out of control. Up to 80% of type 2 diabetics have a magnesium deficiency. Most of us are deficient in magnesium. The processed and junk foods often associated with SUGAR diabetes usually have their magnesium removed in processing. Magnesium is found mostly in raw unprocessed foods which most diabetics lack.

Vitamin C is REQUIRED for SUGAR Diabetics and Non-SUGAR Diabetics

“Administering vitamin C in divided doses at 1000 – 3000mg/day has been found to significantly improve a diabetic’s prognosis.” Life Extension, Note one gram is NOT enough for other problems

As you will see about 3 grams of vitamin C per day is also required to defeat cardiovascular disease which you will do after or during your battle with SUGAR diabetes. Taking the daily 3 grams of vitamin C now puts you a BIG step ahead in your prevention of cardiovascular disease.

  

Vitamin D is REQUIRED for SUGAR Diabetics and Non-SUGAR Diabetics

"Diabetes is significantly more prevalent in people with low serum levels of vitamin D."  Life Extension

(Vitamin D is required on MANY fronts) to keep your blood sugar healthy. If you are currently diabetic or pre-diabetic or just don't want to be please get your vitamin D blood levels tested. IMO you want to be at 60 ng/ml or better.

     

Vitamin E is REQUIRED for SUGAR Diabetics and Non-SUGAR Diabetics

"A Finnish study of 944 men found those with the lowest levels of vitamin E in their blood were four times more likely to have diabetes than those with the highest vitamin E levels."   Prevention

    

Vanadium

I rarely recommend a specific product but in this case I believe I should. If you are looking for a single diabetes product this may be it. You will note vanadium and many of the supplements I recommend for diabetes are contained in Doctor Whitaker's "Glucose Essentials". I would add many others to it.

      

Many Foods are associated with SUGAR Diabetes

The foods that were most consistently associated with increased risk of Type 2 SUGAR diabetes in two major studies were potatoes (cooked or French-fried), white rice, white bread (See White Flour Protocol)  and carbonated beverages (See Soft Drink Protocol). What all these “foods” have in common is they are not fit to eat; we call them Junk Foods. They are calories with LITTLE, NO, or negative, nutrition; well potato skins are good for you just throw away the rest LOL; you can eat ten pounds of them, literally, and still be hungry.

Learning where to find nutrition and eating ONLY nutritious foods is a good start to solving your SUGAR diabetes problem. Learning that processed foods are mostly unfit to eat is another key.

    

HFCS is DEATH for SUGAR Diabetics

If you are diabetic or don't want to be IMO start reading labels if you eat processed foods at all. Thousands of processed foods contain HFCS. HFCS  and fructose are death for those of us with sugar problems for the rest of us are to be AVOIDED.

Don’t feel like SUGAR diabetes is your entire fault. IT’S NOT, our food and drink has been loaded with MANY things that would not be allowed under an honest government. IMO drugs are NOT going to help you; your spouse may help but will not do what YOU alone can do; your doctor may be a little help but will not do what YOU alone can do. Please look in the mirror this is the ONLY person who is going to solve YOUR SUGAR diabetes problem.

What is so sad about SUGAR diabetes to me is this. You and I could be dropped on the top of a glacier in say Nepal at 20,000 feet above sea level; we could have the equipment to negotiate our return to civilization with say enough good food for the two month trip cached along our way. By the time we got back BOTH of us would be in the shape of our lives; SUGAR diabetes would be as far from our lives as MARS. CANNOT you pretend you are in this situation at least somewhat? The crappy “food” you cannot eat is 2,000 miles away; the exercise you MUST do lies before you unavoidably.

     

Don't Forget to Have FUN

Can you have some fun, YOU BET; buy that candy bar, buy ten of em THEN have some fun throwing them in the street to be crushed like the dog turds they are. Buy a case of soda and take a shower in it; wear a rain coat so as not to absorb any of the crap transdermally; wash your raincoat when finished.

No one but YOU can cure YOUR Sugar Diabetes eating problems

SUGAR diabetes avoidance and treatment is largely in YOUR hands. You can discover the SUGAR diabetes pathomechanisms in a relatively few hours of study. The relatively simple lifestyle changes required to defeat SUGAR diabetes can also be quickly acquired. After that it’s up to YOU. How about a long walk to think about it?
