Studies have shown that individuals who maintain the highest levels of glutathione remain the healthiest and live the longest

   

"Glutathione is critical for one simple reason: It recycles antioxidants. You see, dealing with free radicals is like handing off a hot potato. They get passed around from vitamin C to vitamin E to lipoic acid and then finally to glutathione which cools off the free radicals and recycles other antioxidants. Glutathione your body’s master antioxidant is your body’s prime detoxing agent. Your liver produces and requires Glutathione to get rid of harmful substances, both those generated external to the liver and those generated by the liver itself. Glutathione is also produced and required throughout your body. Glutathione is composed of three amino acids including the sulfur (See Sulfur Protocol) bearing cysteine (See L-Cysteine Protocol). Glutathione interacts with the dangerous by products of many toxic substances, promoting their excretion through your kidneys and other organs. Glutathione can cross the blood-brain barrier (See Blood Brain Barrier Protection Protocol) it can remove mercury, cadmium and other toxic metals from your brain. Selenium (See Selenium Protocol) is required for Glutathione production so make sure your selenium levels are good.

Glutathione levels in our body tend to drop off as we age so it’s a good thing to promote your body’s levels of Glutathione. It has been shown Glutathione levels can be more than doubled with some effort. Here are a few ways to do this.

   

Spare your Glutathione

“It is normal to eliminate two or more times per day. Transit time: how much time between food in and waste out. Normal transit time is less than 24 hours. This means that only two or three meals should be in transit throughout the digestive tract at a time. Today's breakfast IN pushes yesterday's breakfast or lunch OUT. Toxic fecal matter is supposed to totally leave the body in one day, not hang around to toxify.” The Doctor Within

Any glutathione you can prevent being used is available for other use. For example if you have one bowel movement per meal you will be sparing a LOT of glutathione that would have to be used detoxifying the colon toxins that would have leaked through your colon into your blood stream. Likewise one bowel movement per day is better (but not as good as one per meal) than one per week.

Eat mostly RAW foods

Eat mostly RAW foods. Cooking can denature almost ALL glutathione in some raw food and many foods do contain appreciable amounts of glutathione. Lightly steam vegetables if you must cook them.

Take Glutathione Promoting Things

SAMe (S-adenosylmethionine) is the bioactive form of the amino acid methionine. Your body produces SAMe but production slows with age and sometimes for other reasons. SAMe is a precursor for glutathione, cysteine and taurine. Half of all the methionine in your body is used by your liver to make SAMe. A good part of SAMe is turned into glutathione.

      

Eat Raw Whole Food

"We found eating unaltered, raw food or food heated at low temperatures did not cause increased leukocytes. In addition, if a food had been heated beyond a certain temperature (unique to each food), or if the food was processed (refined, added chemicals, etc.), this always caused leukocytosis. The foods causing the greatest leukocytosis, were processed foods that had been refined, homogenized, pasteurized, or chemically preserved." Swiss Institute of Chemistry, Note the leukocytes are the immune system attacking a foreign invader; the "processed food" is not recognized as food.

Any time you COOK ANYTHING you breakdown fiber (prebiotics); kill bacteria (probiotics); hasten the digestive process, hasten the release of sugars into your blood stream and decrease the probiotic and prebiotic potential of that food. SO eat RAW as often as possible. Eating something raw with any cooked food is also a good idea.

    

Cystic Fibrosis et al and Glutathione

Doctor Hudson had three children with CF and was thus VERY motivated to find a way. What she discovered was glutathione.

IMO extrapolating from Doctor Hudson's success with CF to YOUR daunting health problem is worth a shot. Please try glutathione. If you can get the glutathione to where it is needed or increase your systemic glutathione levels perhaps it will greatly help. IMO it will help.

    

Coffee Enemas and Glutathione

If you are serious about raising your glutathione. The enema removes a VAST amount of toxins that would have been recirculated out of the colon and used a VAST amounts of glutathione to remove. This glutathione is now FREE to be used all over your body. This sparing of the glutathione is just as good as CREATING it.
