Cholesterol is REQUIRED for life; for human life; for all multicellular life. If you have a genetic defect that interferes with your manufacturing of cholesterol you die. AIDS slowly destroys your cholesterol and then you die. Your cholesterol level is normally irrelevant UNLESS it is a symptom of a problem  or problems some where in your body. 

Your liver manufactures cholesterol. You can also get cholesterol from animals or the animal products you ingest. Almost every cell in your body, 100 trillion cells, also has the ability to make its own cholesterol. That is how important cholesterol is to maintain a healthy body. In many cells, almost half of the cell membrane is made from cholesterol. Different kinds of cells in the body need different amounts of cholesterol, depending on their function and purpose. If the cell is part of a protective barrier, it will have a lot of cholesterol in it to make it strong, sturdy and resistant to any invasion. If a cell or an organelle inside the cell needs to be soft and fluid, it will have less cholesterol in its structure.

For most of us, lowering the amount of cholesterol we eat will not affect our cholesterol levels, as our livers will just produce more, if we need more. Your body produces the Cholesterol it requires based on MANY factors. For instance if you eat a lot of fat you will produce more of an agent that will help you digest this fat. That agent is Cholesterol which is used to create the fat digesting bile. If you eat a diet completely devoid of ALL cholesterol your body will use the nutrients you eat to create cholesterol.

Quite simply for most of us our cholesterol level is only a SYMPTOM; a symptom of what we are eating; a symptom of  how we are treating our bodies; a symptom of how we are MISTREATING our health. Folks we have been sold a bill of goods with Cholesterol. Big Pharma wants us to BUY a lower cholesterol level. Big Pharma KNOWS this is a FRAUD. The CDC KNOWS this is a FRAUD and now YOU KNOW. Please act on this knowledge.

If your HDL reverse transport is greater than your cholesterol deposit you will not develop much cholesterol in any arterial plaque you may have. In the diagram above we see the HDL 3 packet exchanging triglyceride fats, including cholesterol, with  LDL packets. Excess triglyceride fats are eventually passed to the HDL 2 packet and into the liver for disposition.

This system becomes very inefficient if your triglycerides get too high. Your triglycerides get high when you eat SUGAR and simple carbs which are quickly converted to SUGAR. When our body was designed there was no refined sugar, simple carbs, HFCS and all the other man made crap we eat today. Take the crap away and your body becomes a lean mean machine and will burn its fat fuel (ketone fuel) and glucose fuel with precision, efficiency and cleanness.

Keeping your HDL levels high will help clear your system of excess triglycerides. High HDL levels have become MANDATORY with today's CRAP for food eating habits. Of course not eating the CRAP sure helps.

Incomplete Cholesterol Transport Cycle

In the figure above we see some of the packets your body uses to transport the fat cholesterol. We do not see the liver produced nascent HDL pathway and other things.    

HDL cholesterol is the High-Density Lipoprotein packet your body uses to collect expended fats including cholesterol and fats in peripheral tissues and arterial plaque and transport them to your liver (See Liver Protection Protocol) for disposition. A high level of HDL in relation to your LDL is desirable. A high HDL level will lower your risk of heart disease as it mops up potentially oxidized LDL and arterial plaque. For every 1% increase in HDL, your risk of a heart “event” drops 3-6%.

The famous Framingham Heart Study demonstrated conclusively that if you get your HDL level above say 65 your LDL level becomes fairly irrelevant. Folks here is one of the keys to avoiding cardiovascular disease. The lower your HDL the more attention you must give to your LDL. I try to peg my HDL above 65 and don’t worry too much about my LDL. Of course I worry enough to keep my LDL from oxidizing.

Very low fat diets, less than 10% - 20% of calories as fat depress HDL. IMO this may have been what did in Doctor Nathan Pritikin who liked to keep his fat intake below 10%. The example of Doctor Pritikin should serve as a warning to us all NOT to take the latest Industrial Medical Industry approved "fad" as truth. One great example of this is the "Statin Drugs" to lower LDL; a needless and powerfully dangerous way of life/death.

Chromium and Triglycerides in Action

When you eat SUGAR or simple carbs it BURNS chromium in your body, this decreases your insulin efficiency, Supplemental chromium increases chromium and thus your insulin efficiency, This allows less sugar to remain in your blood. Your liver is then not required to convert this excess sugar into fats and package them in triglycerides. This reduces the triglycerides in your blood stream that are distributing the SUGAR (converted by your liver to fat). So what is the moral of this story?

EAT far LESS SUGAR and Simple Carbs and assure your chromium.

High Oxidized LDL Cholesterol and low HDL is the Best Predictor of Heart Disease 

The fat soluble antioxidants vitamins D, E and K, vitamin C and other antioxidants will insure the LDL packet lipoprotein membrane itself does not oxidize. Warrior Workout: USMC Combat Fitness Test, Rope Climb Methods: One Way to improve Your HDL levels and a LOT ELSE

Here is a great workout you can modify to suit your age and fitness levels. Strenuous anaerobic exercises like this will help produce Testosterone, HGH, DHEA, HDL, Mitochondrial Density and anything else Strenuous anaerobic exercise produces. This one is neat because it puts you on the GROUND Note at 80 I mostly fast walk this and carry 50 pound water jugs not ammo cans and no person. Start low, go slow.

If you exercise anaerobically for very short periods of time, for example an all out 200 yard sprint, you will be exercising anaerobically, that is without oxygen. Phil Campbell has found that a few of these sprints, not to exceed eight, two or three times a week is a great way to increase HGH production, please watch the videos for details.

Strenuous Exercise will also increase HGH levels as well as HDL and Testosterone. Fasting will also increase HGH levels.

A great family treat is, first make sure you are in great cardio shape; take the family car out on a deserted road. have your son steer and get out and push the non-running car, on a level road, for as far as you are able. It will not be too long until you have some competition for the pushing job.
