Immune System Protection Protocol Continuation

       

All you old fogies and youngsters listen up 

"Dietary supplements of vitamin E tocotrienols may enhance immune function and help us maintain our immune health as we age, a new study suggests. Scientists from Tufts University report that mice fed dietary supplements of alpha-tocotrienols experienced improvements in the function of T cell function."    The Journal of Nutrition

According to researchers, treating older mice with sulforaphane found in abundance in Cruciferous Vegetables increased their immune response to the level of younger mice.  The ability of sulforaphane to reinvigorate the immune system abilities of aged tissues could play an important role in reversing much of the negative impact of free radicals. So can we teach our old immune systems new tricks with cruciferous veggies? Many health professionals believe an aging immune system is a death sentence for us oldies but goodies. Perhaps we just got a reprieve.

All you youngsters also need a top notch immune system to help keep you acting, feeling and BEING young. Please don't let your youth and health be STOLEN from you.

   

Two Immune Response States

"Keeping a normal white blood cell count is one of the very basic necessities for good health. Your body uses white blood cells to fight off viruses, bacteria, and all sorts of potentially harmful foreign invaders. If your levels fall, you're much more prone to illness. Chemotherapy and radiation are probably the most well-known offenders causing low white cell counts, but levels can fall for any number of reasons. But researchers have found that lithium can increase white cell numbers again in people whose levels fell due to radiation and/or chemotherapy (and even if the person continues those treatments). Lithium achieves these effects by stimulating the stem cells in bone marrow, which then turn into platelets and white blood cells. I've observed that low dose lithium (5- 10 milligrams twice daily) will also usually raise a low count to normal even if radiation and chemotherapy aren't the culprits.”   Doctor Jonathon Weight MD

Some herbs and supplements are good to prod your immune system into an adaptive immune response. You are better off only taking these when you think you may be coming down with the flu or have some other systemic attack. Most of the time you want to maintain your immune system in a strong ready innate state ready to detect and handle minor threats but calm and not in a generalized adaptive systemic response mode to a major attack. If your immune system is mostly in the adaptive  response mode you may be at more risk of developing one or more of the several auto-immune diseases. Keeping your immune system over stimulated unnecessarily will also age you.

   

One Basic Immune response to Non-Self

phagocytosis: 1 antibodies, 2 antigen, 3 macrophage, 4 antibody-coated antigen, 5 receptors for antibody, 6 phagocytic vacuole

Above we see the immune system getting rid of a non-self object. There are various forms of this basic response. The natural immune system does not require the antibody identification mechanism.

    

Apoptosis, Cancer and Your Immune System

“A reduction in calorie intake dramatically slowed cancer progression in rodents, suggesting a prophylactic and therapeutic advantage. Rates of apoptosis were ten times higher in calorie restricted mice.”  Dunn et al 1997, Note here is a STRONG clue for cancer prevention and treatment that explains why the ketogenic diet, a modified fast, is so effective as a cancer diet; apoptosis is a defective cell killing itself

Apoptosis is the process whereby your immune system detects a defective cell and sends a signal to the cell to self-destruct. This helps to eliminate diseased and otherwise defective cells in your body. When one of your cells has a major problem that cell should be destroyed, one of the ways your immune system has to do this is apoptosis.

Make sure you completely understand apoptosis and its extreme importance to preventing and treating Cancer and other disease.

    

Autophagy and Your Immune System

"Resveratrol can increase beneficial apoptosis to facilitate the healthy removal of decrepit cells.13 Resveratrol was shown to induce a critical cellular process called autophagy that removes waste (damaged proteins and organelles) from inside the cell. In a recent study, rats were given the toxic chemotherapy drug doxorubicin (Adriamycin®). Resveratrol, along with calorie restriction, was shown to inhibit the damage done to the hearts of these rats by inducing autophagy resulting in improved cellular waste removal. When one of your cells has a major problem that cell should be destroyed, one of the ways your immune system has to do this is apoptosis; sometimes a cell has a minor flaw and can be saved if the flaw can be removed autophagy is one way.

So we need to provide the actions and raw materials to efficaciously enable this important anti-cancer and other disease mechanism.

I like to make sure ALL my important body mechanisms are WELL cared for and well NOURISHED; the important elements below should be assured as a DAILY part of your diet IMO.

Assure for Efficacious Autophagy

1) Fasting

2) Selenium

3) Resveratrol and/or the poor man's Resveratrol Grape Seed Extract

4) Blueberries and/or the poor man's Blueberries Bilberries

Please make sure all these bases are covered on a CONSTANT basis.

   

Vitamins and Infection

Vitamins D, A, and C are the so called anti-infective vitamins. Your body will create vast amounts of anti-infective tools from these three vitamins. It will create them on demand and as long as YOU supply the vitamins in the amounts required YOU will defeat the infection; any infection, viral, bacterial, fungal, parasitic, lung, any microbe anywhere, any time. What a wonderful machine is our body.

    

Vitamin D is CRITICAL to Defeat Infection

The UCLA group confirmed two other recent studies, showing that a naturally occurring steroid hormone - a hormone most of us take for granted - was, in effect, a potent antibiotic. Vitamin C has been demonstrated to destroy viruses. If you do not apply the vitamin C soon enough you may need 50 - 100 grams/day or more. As you probably cannot, IMO try, absorb these amounts orally you may need to have a doctor treat you intravenously with the vitamin C.

Immune Suppression by other than "Vaccination"

You do not want your immune system to be switched off by the barium. IMO there are other agents, GMO "foods" being a good example, being foisted on us intended to lower our immune systems. Taking good care of your lungs is a start. It is clear that our lungs are the main target of our Political Pandemic so far.

In circa 1996 barium was mandated to be put in commercial jet fuel. This was supposedly done to, wait for it, stop "Global Warming". Some areas have measured barium up to three times the levels previous to the addition of barium. IMO you can remove some of this barium from your body with a salt water irrigation of your nasal, upper respiratory and lungs. Inhaling the salt water with my nose and inducing some into my lungs to produce a coughing seems to work for me.

When your innate immune system is weak it may allow the invading toxin deep into your lungs.
