Joint Protection Protocol

    

"Synovial fluid is produced when the joint moves. But the body is lazy. If there's no joint movement, there's no reason to ooze that synovial fluid out into the joint. As time goes on, the body adapts to not creating synovial fluid, and so it takes a lot more movement to get it flowing again. To help prevent joint stiffness, you want to stop your body from slowing the flow of lubricating fluid. But even non-synovial joints will get stiff if they adapt to not changing position. That means you must move every joint in your body for several minutes at a time; either daily or at least every other day. Joint cartilage, which is made up of almost 85 percent water (See Water Amount Protocol), has no blood supply thus all of its nourishment and lubrication comes from the synovial fluid that ebbs and flows as pressure is applied and released to the joint. Without this fluid, cartilage would become malnourished, drier, thinner and more fragile. Without the exercise (See Exercise Protocol) to pump the fluid constantly thru the joint the joint will deteriorate. The lack of joint motion thru the full range of the joint each day may at some point restricts the joint motion permanently as scar tissue will form inside the joint. Capsaicin (See Red Pepper Protocol), is used to alleviate the pain (See Pain Protocol) of osteoarthritis and headaches, it also helps to build the synovial cells. So much research shows SAMe can rebuild your joints it has to be one of your supplements if you are worried about arthritis as IMO we all should.

Think of your body as a machine that must be run thru all its motions daily in order to lubricate all your joints. Stretching exercises (See Stretching Exercise Protocol) are a MUST, as we grow older. If you have kids or grandkids get down on the floor better still the ground with them. Trying to catch a five-year-old while flat on your back could not be better for your joints and other things and people.

Japanese with high body levels of hyaluronic acid have been found to have excellent joint health. They eat a fish and vegetable diet with many fermented foods and radishes.
