Mitochondia Protection Protocol
"Our mitochondia can be regenerated in response to intense aerobic exercise and calorie restriction." Life Extension Note Bingo, Bango and Bongo. Any questions? Now lets see some SWEAT and FASTING!
"Mitochondia dysfunction plays a central role in the development of virtually all age related disease." Life Extension
"We suggest that mitochondia protection and subsequent reduction of oxidative stress are important targets for prevention and long-term treatment of early stages of Alzheimer's disease." Muller WE
"Glycated proteins can bind to mitochondia and compromise their function." Journal of Biology and Chemistry 2005
"The decay of mitochondia in brain cells is a primary cause of all neurodegenerative disorders from Parkinson's to dementia. There is now solid evidence that if we can prevent mitochondia decay, or if it can be reversed by stimulating production of new mitochondia we can slow down aging itself." Life Extension Note mercury can decay your mitochondria; a "flu shot" contains 100 - 200 Billion Mercury atoms. ONE atom of mercury can decay one mitochondia
"The nutrient PQQ essential for many forms of life on Earth, comprises a powerful strategy to combat brain aging. PQQ protects mitochondria from cumulative oxidative damage and stimulates growth of healthy new mitochondria. thereby restoring youthful brain cell function." Life Extension
"The more functional mitochondria you have in your cells the greater your overall health and durability, Mitochondria are the only cell components (other than the nucleus) to possess their own DNA. This means mitochondria have the ability to replicate and increase their number within a single human cell. Human cells may house anywhere from 2 to 2,500 mitochondria,15-17 depending on tissue type, antioxidant status, and other factors." Grow New Mitochondia
“By increasing intracellular NAD+ levels, age-related mitochondrial dysfunction can be reversed.5 One of the ways to accomplish this is by engaging in major calorie restriction, which has been proven to raise NAD+ levels and in experimental organisms tested to date, to extend life span.5,25 But most people find significant calorie restriction to be nearly impossible in practice. Fortunately, a method has been developed to increase NAD+ levels without having to alter dietary patterns, though Life Extension remains a strong advocate of calorie restriction for those able to consistently do it. “ The Youth Restoring Benefits Of NAD+ Note fasting even for a meal or day will help regenerate your mitochondria
"Iron gradually builds up in certain cells and
tissues over the course of the human life span. Too much iron accelerates
mitochondrial decay and inflicts system-wide free radical damage to healthy
tissues. Age related iron overload is a known contributor to multiple
degenerative diseases, including liver fibrosis, heat attack and cancer. A UCLA
study conclusively linked excess iron accumulation in brain tissue to
neurodegenerative brain disorders like Alzheimer's and Parkinson's. "

"A substantial body of research that found creatine may help with diseases effecting the neuro muscular system, such as muscular dystrophy and may have therapeutic applications in aging populations, wasting syndromes, muscle atrophy, fatigue, myopathies, Parkinson’s disease, Huntington’s disease and other mitochondrial cytopathies. Several studies have shown it may reduce cholesterol by up to 15% and has been used to correct certain inborn errors of metabolism, such as people born without the enzyme(s) responsible for making creatine." Life Extension on Creatine
“Cardiologist Peter Langsjoen studied 20 patients with completely normal heart function. After six months on a low dose of 20 mg of Lipitor a day, two-thirds of the patients had abnormalities in the heart’s filling phase, when the muscle fills with blood. According to Langsjoen, this malfunction is due to Co-Q10 depletion. Without Co-Q10, the cell’s mitochondria are inhibited from producing energy, leading to muscle pain and weakness. The heart is especially susceptible because it uses so much energy." Eleanor Laise, WSJ Nov 2003, Note an honest HHS would order this crap off the market in a second
“World-class cyclist Lance Armstrong uses a powerful nutrient to safely and naturally boost his athletic performance. It’s so reliable; Olympians and serious exercisers are flocking to it for help during strenuous workouts. I’m talking about quercetin, a powerful antioxidant/anti-inflammatory bioflavonoid that also boosts the immune system and increases mitochondria (the powerhouse of the cell) in your muscles and brain. “ Doctor Al Sears MD
“These results suggest
"PQQ has been shown to promote mitochondrial biogenesis (creation of new mitochondria), which is essential for older cells to retain youthful energy output. PQQ also protects against mitochondrial damage. The two new studies described in this Research Update provide preliminary data to pave the way for human trials in arthritis patients. PQQ was effective at suppressing cartilage-degrading enzymes and inflammatory markers in human cells and in the laboratory mouse model. These findings open a pathway for clinical studies to evaluate whether PQQ can benefit osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis patients. Those seeking to relieve arthritis symptoms today, without resorting to drugs, have access to a variety of low-cost nutrients with clinically validated effects."PQQ Reduces Arthritis Inflammation
"Loss of mitochondrial function contributes to aging throughout the body. Mitochondrial decline opens the door to age-related diseases such as neurodegeneration, diabetes, and obesity. In a discovery published in 2017, scientists found that the natural hormone melatonin works in a unique way to combat mitochondrial dysfunction." Melatonin’s Newly Discovered Anti-Aging Mechanism
Mitochondia are the energy producing mechanism of the cell. Most cells contain between 500 and 8,000 mitochondria which account for as much as 60 per cent of the volume of muscle cells and 45 per cent of the volume of heart cells. Mitochondria are unusual because they have their own genes and their own DNA. (All other DNA is found inside the cell's nucleus.) Mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) is more likely to get damaged in the course of everyday living.
This damage has been implicated as a major contributor to the ageing process. Some researchers believe that damage to the mitochondria may be the ultimate cause of ageing. The mitochondria of seniors has been found to be twice as likely to be damaged as middle aged individuals.
"Mitochondria have been called the Achilles' heel of the cell in ageing," says lifespan researcher Tory Hagen of the Linus Pauling Institute in Corvallis, Oregon. Damaged mitochondria can also lead to disease. In fact, more than 200 diseases, including Alzheimer's disease, diabetes, cancer, heart disease and stroke, have been associated with impaired mitochondrial function.
Every time mitochondria make energy, they produce harmful free radicals which, if not neutralized, can cause damage to the mitochondria. SOD is an important mitochondia anti-oxidant.
The mitochondria membranes are the key to energy production. If the membranes are damaged, less energy is produced and toxins build up. To prevent free radical damage, cells recruit a set of antioxidants like a combination of Alpha Lipoic Acid, Acetyl L- Carnitine and CoQ10. If you wish to live an active life in your old age be sure to supplement these three anti-oxidants.
Doctor Terry Wahls who cured herself of MS reminds us of the importance of our mitochondia for brain health. She comments on how the diseases which result in brain shrinkage, Huntington's, Alzheimer's and Parkinson's may all be the effects of malnourished mitochondia. The mitochondia requires an ample supply of B vitamins, sulfur and antioxidants.
Monsanto’s GMO and Roundup with Glyphosate Attacks Your Mitochondria
“Monsanto’s Round Up herbicide,
containing the likely-carcinogenic glyphosate, is causing widespread
mitochondrial dysfunction in cells. This is associated with a long list of
degenerative disease and chronic health conditions including autism,
Alzheimer’s, chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, type 2 Diabetes, Parkinson’s, and
Jeffrey M. Smith interviews Researchers Doctor(2x) Stephanie Seneff and Doctor(3x) Alex Vasquez on the broad dangers of Monsanto’s GMO and Roundup with Glyphosate.

"The list of diseases that are caused by mitochondrial dysfunction is long. Two experts discuss just how toxic Round Up is and how it affects mitochondria in your body. You could read dozens of books on this topic, but you can also obtain a quick understanding from an under-utilized video that represents vast quantities of data on the subject in a nutshell, presented by Stephanie Seneff and Alex Vasquez." Christina Sarich
This is a somewhat complicated discussion. BUT it is terribly important to your health that you come to understand it in the end. Each time through you will pick up some more important material. You will learn much about basic mitochondial operation. So many KEY aspects of your health are covered and related to each other. PLEASE keep at it. Of course the key point is you MUST avoid GMO “foods” and Monsanto’s Roundup and other Glyphosate Fertilizer Poisons. This discussion tells us the dozens and dozens of reasons why this is so. IMO GMO is turning out to be a very important biological weapon being used on the human race.
Vaccination and Your Mitochondria
“After years of taking tetanus shots with no problems, my husband took one at work at age 28, he passed out at home, and seized all night. He was fine until he stepped on a nail and had another one at age 34. After several years he ended up down at Emory Clinic were he was diagnosed with an acquired mitochondrial cytopathy. I now think the tetanus shot was actually the DPT shot! Because just recently I was hurt by a horse and after some stitches told the doctor I was refusing the tetanus shot. He told me that the tetanus shot that they claimed they were giving was actually the DPT shot! But if I would take it he promised it would be tetanus shot only. I told him to clean it out good, he did and let it bleed a lot too - I did not get the shot.” Note if you want a "tetanus shot" you will get a DTaP every time. The DTaP is IMO designed to run down your immune system that is why it is often given to an individual seven or eight times in their lifetime (shortened lifetime)
"ALL vaccines are and have been causing ischemic (impaired blood flow thus low oxygen levels) damages - to all - creating a plethora of chronic illnesses, disease, and in some instances...death. The injury from vaccination is additive, each vaccination further injures.” Doctor Andrew Moulden MD, PhD, Note this ischemia results in a lack of OXYGEN delivered to the cell
“The “dysfunctional mitochondria” can cause autism as they are producing more damaging free radicals than normal mitochondria. Mitochondria made toxic by ethylmercury, released by thimerosal, would do the same thing as the tightest binding site for mercury in the body is in the “iron sulfur centers” of the electron transport chain that carries the ‘electron’ used normally to produce the mitochondrial pH gradient that makes energy in the form of ATP. Ethylmercury blocking of this transport chain leads to the production of hydroxyl free radicals by release of the electron to react with water. This causes oxidative stress and low reduced glutathione levels as observed in autism and many neurological illnesses.” Doctor Boyd Haley PhD
Folks the mercury in "vaccinations" is PROVEN to be a cause, IMO a great cause, of mitochondrial disease. The CDC knows and has know of this for quite some time. Why would they do this? Almost all "vaccines" have mercury in them. The CDC is lying about "mercury free vaccines".
People who are pre-disposed to
have a mitochondrial dysfunction can develop autistic conditions
following vaccination. Doctor Boyd Haley shows us how mercury disrupts
the mitochondrial electron transport chain.

"ALA directly increases ATP
production in the mitochondria. Studies in aging animals support the use of
R-ALA to improve mitochondrial function, decrease oxidative damage and
increase metabolic rate, all of which become impaired with age."

“According to new research published in the American Journal of Physiology,1 the best way to stay young is to simply pick up your feet and start exercise training. The training triggers mitochondrial biogenesis, a decline of which is common in aging. This reverses significant age-associated declines in mitochondrial mass, and in effect, stops aging in its tracks.” Exercise is One of the Best Ways to Slow Aging
“DHLA is a potent reducing agent with the capacity to reduce the oxidized forms of several important antioxidants, including vitamin C and glutathione (20). DHLA may also reduce the oxidized form of alpha-tocopherol (the alpha-tocopheroxyl radical) directly or indirectly, by reducing the oxidized form of vitamin C (dehydroascorbate), which is able to reduce the alpha-tocopheroxyl radical (21). Coenzyme Q10 is an important component of the mitochondrial electron transport chain that also has antioxidant activity. DHLA can also reduce oxidized forms of coenzyme Q10 (22), which may also reduce the alpha-tocopheroxyl radical (23).” LPI ALA Biological Activity
"CoQ10 powerfully safeguards mitochondria from age
related decay and death through two principal pathways. It plays an
essential role in the electron transport chain. CoQ10 also acts as a
powerful free radical scavenger naturalizing and dramatically reducing their
oxidative damage." Life Extension

“What’s most amazing about the antioxidants found in avocados is their ability to ‘deeply’ penetrate inside the body and actually enter the mitochondria, a tiny ‘powerhouse’ which actually turns food into energy inside your body. Your mitochondria are actually teeming with free radicals, which are assaulting the tiny energy assimilators on a daily basis. While other fruits and vegetables — powerful in many ways as well — offer beneficial antioxidants, avocados possess the unique ability to actually make their way inside mitochondria. This is an effect that has scientists raving over the usage of avocados in the prevention of disease and aging.” Avocados Naturally Overcome Aging and Disease
"In a recent finding, Swiss researchers have identified a new molecule that results from digesting two compounds found in pomegranates: punicalagins and ellagitannins. This unique molecule, known as urolithin A, helps rejuvenate mitochondria, our cellular powerhouses. Urolithin A opens the door to potential new therapeutic treatments against age-related disorders, including frailty, which is a risk factor for disability, hospitalizations, and mortality. Urolithin A is produced by the body after ingesting compounds found in pomegranate such as punicalagins and ellagitannins and can help recycle defective mitochondria." Pomegranate Improves Markers of Aging Note this mitochondria recycling is an IMMENSE finding
"The results from these recent Swiss studies suggest that supplementation with pomegranate extract to boost the body’s content of urolithin A may be an innovative approach to maintaining healthy mitochondrial and muscle function." Pomegranate Improves Markers of Aging
One way your mitochondria decay is thru calcification. A diet
high in calcium and low in magnesium
(See Magnesium Protocol) will cause your cell
mitochondria to slowly calcify. You can rectify this by avoiding calcium
supplements, balancing your calcium with magnesium, making sure you
get plenty of vitamin K especially K2 and
chelating free calcium often.

A lack of antioxidants especially the mitochondrial antioxidant SOD (See SOD Protocol) will decay your mitochondria. CoQ10 is a powerful mitochondrial anti-oxidant we seniors should IMO not be without.
Cancer and Your Mitochondia
mitochondria malfunctioning, cancer cells use glucose fermentation for survival
energy. This fermentation occurs when glycolysis (glucose conversion) occurs in
an anaerobic cellular environment, which can be created by benign tumor masses,
toxins, and low pH levels. DCA restores mitochondria in cells to make them
function properly. Another function of normal mitochondria is signaling
apoptosis, or cellular self destruction. Normal cells die and become replaced
constantly. But with cancer cells, the apoptosis signal is nullified, making
cancer cells "immortal." (3) The
" Michelakis suggests that the switch to glycolysis as an energy source occurs when cells in the middle of an abnormal but benign lump don't get enough oxygen for their mitochondria to work properly (see diagram). In order to survive, they switch off their mitochondria and start producing energy through glycolysis. Crucially, though, mitochondria do another job in cells: they activate apoptosis, the process by which abnormal cells self-destruct. When cells switch mitochondria off, they become "immortal", outliving other cells in the tumor and so becoming dominant. Once reawakened by DCA, mitochondria reactivate apoptosis and order the abnormal cells to die.” Cheap, 'safe' drug kills most cancers
Michelakis IMO has about got it right. He is missing the initial cancer cause of low oxygen delivery to the cell.
Exercise and Your Mitochondia
"Our mitochondia can be regenerated in response to intense aerobic exercise and calorie restriction." Life Extension Note Bingo, Bango and Bongo. Any questions? Now lets see some SWEAT!
"[Acute oxidative stress] is essential for keeping your muscle machinery tuned. Technically, acute oxidative stress makes your muscle increasingly resilient to oxidative stress; it stimulates glutathione and SOD production in your mitochondria along with increased muscular capacity to utilize energy, generate force and resist fatigue. Hence, exercise and fasting help counteract all the main determinants of muscle aging. But there is something else about exercise and fasting. When combined, they trigger a mechanism that recycles and rejuvenates your brain and muscle tissues." Ori Hofmekler
exercise-trained young and older people have substantially higher insulin
sensitivity than the sedentary groups and no differences between young and
older people were observed in either sedentary or exercise trained groups.
Secondly, in contrast, we found age-related declines in various markers of
mitochondrial function in the sedentary groups, but these age-related
differences were partly, but not completely, abolished in people who practice
regular endurance exercise. Finally, we show that endurance exercise may exert
similar potentially lifespan-enhancing effects as caloric restriction through
elevated SIRT3 expression in both young and older adults. Exercise could
have similar effects on life-span as those observed with calorie restriction in
other organisms.” Mayo Clinic , Note if you want a long active life please
