The RDA is Real Dumb Advice

      
"We can find no scientific or even rational reasons for the current [Vitamin C] RDA values. The published justifications show clear and unambiguous bias. This bias could arise from peer pressure, ignorance, or corruption. We prefer the explanation that the people setting the RDA are honest and competent professionals, who were acting on a misleading and incorrect interpretation of the available data. If we are correct about the origin of the bias, we should expect them to be willing to review their current proposals. If the RDA recommendations are genuine, they should be defended in open scientific debate. As far as we can see, the reluctance to engage in open discussion with independent nutritional scientists suggests that the RDA is not scientifically viable."     Doctors Steve Hickey and Hilary Roberts

"Vitamin E does not function as a cofactor. Requirements for and utilization of vitamin E vary according to an individual's oxidative stress state (OSS). Concentrations of free radicals, other antioxidants and the polyunsaturated fatty content of body tissues are major determinants of OSS. The requirements for Vitamin C and beta-carotene are similarly dependant upon the OSS  of the individual. So why do not women KNOW this? Tell them!

“You cannot get enough vitamin E in your diet to suppress heart attacks. That requires vitamin E supplements. However in our study more than 250 IU of vitamin E daily did not additionally cut heart disease. Our research shows you must take the vitamin E for about two years before its protection starts. The benefits of taking vitamin E far exceeded the benefits of lowering both cholesterol and lowering blood pressure. The risk of not taking vitamin E was about equal to the risk of smoking.” Meir J. ”Listen to this nonsense… They say you need just 6 micrograms of vitamin B12 a day for “optimum health.” Clinical studies and my own research show the number is MUCH higher. Vitamin B12 is a critical nutrient. When your levels drop, you’re more likely to become confused, suffer “brain fog” and have memory problems. Even worse, your homocysteine goes through the roof. Vitamin B12 is one of the key nutrients that brings your homocysteine down – dramatically improving your heart’s health. But you need at least 100 micrograms – NOT the tiny, ineffective 6 micrograms our government recommends. In one study from Oxford in England, researchers needed as much as 500 micrograms of B12 to bring down homocysteine.1 I’ve confirmed these findings in my own practice. I routinely prescribe B12 to my patients for homocysteine reduction. And I see consistent successful results when their blood tests come back. But only at higher levels. Our government’s recommendation falls short – and that puts you at risk. Numbers like this make me wonder... what is your government thinking?” Doctor Al Sears MD

“The RDA assumes a healthy individual free of disease and consuming 2,000 calories a day. In particular, RDAs are inadequate for the elderly, people who are ill, immune compromised, or on medication. The elderly is especially at risk since they not only absorb nutrient less easily, but also consume fewer calories and thus fewer nutrients from food. Pollution also robs us of vital nutrients and increases our exposure to a variety of dangerous toxins and synthetic hormones. Physical and mental stress weakens the immunity system and ups our nutritional needs. As we age, our nutritional needs increase. At the same time, the nutritional content of our food is decreasing from over-farming. Over-fertilization depletes fruits and vegetables of vital nutrients, as do food processing, refinement, storage, and cooking. It is obvious that the RDA is grossly insufficient in providing the accurate level of nutrients for optimum health.” Doctor Michael Lam MD

"High doses of vitamins are deliberately not used. Writes Robert F. Cathcart III, M.D.: "I have been consulted by many researchers who proposed bold studies of the effects of massive doses of ascorbate (vitamin C). Every time the university center, the ethics committee, or the pharmacy committee deny permission for the use of massive doses of ascorbate and render the study almost useless. Seasoned researchers depending upon government grants do not even try to study adequate doses." Orthomolecular Medicine News Service, February 2, 2009

"Effective doses are high doses, often hundreds of times more than the US Recommended Dietary Allowance (RDA) or Daily Reference Intake (DRI). Abram Hoffer, M.D., Ph.D., comments: "Drs. Wilfrid Shute and Evan Shute recommended doses from 400 IU to 8,000 IU of vitamin E daily. The usual dose range was 800 to 1600 IU but they report that they had given 8,000 IU without seeing any toxicity." The Shutes successfully treated over 35,000 patients with vitamin E." If this hypothesis is correct, micronutrient deficiencies that trigger the triage response would accelerate cancer, aging, and neural decay but would leave critical metabolic functions, such as ATP production, intact."   Joyce C. "A new analysis says that current recommendations for vitamin K are not being met, placing people at increased risk of age-related diseases like cancer and heart disease. The analysis of data from hundreds of published articles dating back to the 1970s, conducted by Joyce McCann, PhD and Bruce Ames, PhD from Children's Hospital Oakland Research Institute, also suggests that current recommendations for vitamin K intake need to be increased to ensure optimal health. "Even though the RDA is high enough to prevent some deficiency diseases such as rickets and scurvy, they may not be high enough to have an impact on preventing other diseases. This is particularly true of vitamins C and E."   Prevention, Note the classic is the paultry18 ng/ml RDA of vitamin D to prevent rickets which will NOT insure strong bones, help prevent CANCER or even allow your body to read your DNA library.

RDA (Recommended Dietary Allowance ) or as you will come to know it Real Dumb Advice, is supposed to be the amounts of selected nutrients considered adequate to meet the known minimum nutrient needs of most young healthy people. In actuality it is a pernicious, devious, political document used to justify our garbage diet and inadequate medical treatment.

The RDA Promotes Unhealthy Outcomes

One particularly cruel aspect of the RDA is its influence in the heart attack, CVD, AIDS and other deadly health scams being perpetrated on the public. For example Vitamin C is required for most people, in amounts vastly greater than they are receiving in today’s real imperfect world, to protect against cardiovascular and other diseases. The truth is with a vitamin C RDA of 60mg - 120 mg MANY perhaps as many as 75% or more of us are walking around with sub clinical scurvy (See Atherosclerosis Protocol). Perhaps if the RDA for vitamin C were a much more reasonable 3000 mg the vast number of these scurvy victims waiting to get a heart attack and MANY other diseases would be greatly lessened.  But what would then happen to the 250 billion per year “Heart Attack Industry” and the 4 Trillion per year “Disease Industry”?

This RDA is WRONG by a factor of about 20; you need more like 8000 IU of Vitamin D/day and you NEED the SUN.

Vitamin D Levels REQUIRED for Good Health      

Almost ALL Americans (> 95%) Do NOT have Optimal or better Levels. (50 ng/ml is actually only sufficient)

    

Your body has three anti-infective Vitamins; Vitamin C, Vitamin D and Vitamin A. As this protocol has shown the Vitamin C RDA is incorrect by a factor of fifty times too LITTLE. The Vitamin D RDA is incorrect by about a factor of twenty times too LITTLE. Most individuals including children eat way too little carotene to produce the Vitamin A they require. Most Vitamin Experts violently disagree with the RDA in their specialty vitamins.

The CDC is not willing to even discus THE Scientific Fact that the RDA is wrong by a factor of about 50 times TOO LITTLE, in the case of Vitamin C and about 20 times TOO LITTLE, in the case of Vitamin D. Instead the CDC INSISTS you shove toxic "vaccination" needles into your child once a month on average.
