I try to never ingest a single gram of table sugar, never knowingly ingest HFCS or pure fructose. I try not to ingest glucose unless I am in glucose deficit as when exercising. Now I am sure I get small amounts despite my best efforts. That I can live with.

    

Disease feeds on Sugar

IMO sugar may be a key factor in our rapid increase in many disease rates which parallels our rapid increase in sugar consumption. IMO if you are worried about any disease you MUST eliminate sugar in all its thousands of forms from your diet. In fact if you just want to live a long healthy life you MUST close to eliminate sugar in all its thousands of forms from your diet. My diet avoids sugar on MOST occasions.

Want to lower your insulin and keep it low? Yes of course you do. The paleo diet does this and more. The paleo diet FORCES your insulin low and keeps it low by FORCING you to eat no SUGAR and simple carbs which are quickly converted to SUGAR.
