Defecation Protocol

“A good bowel movement should be soft, smooth, and easy to pass, but not watery. A good digestive enzyme intake with meals will normally result in this. Addition of herbal tea may cause the bowel movement to be watery. This is not uncommon, especially during the initial cleansing process. A moderate amount of loose stool is generally acceptable during the cleansing and detoxification process.”    Doctor Michael Lam MD

“It is normal to eliminate two or more times per day. Transit time: how much time between food in and waste out. Normal transit time is less than 24 hours. This means that only two or three meals should be in transit throughout the digestive tract at a time. Today's breakfast IN pushes yesterday's breakfast or lunch OUT. Toxic fecal matter is supposed to totally leave the body in one day, not hang around to toxify.” The Doctor Within

“Food is not supposed to just sit there and rot. We're only supposed to store three meals (Jensen.) But most Americans store nine, twelve, or even more meals before one comes out. Chlorella is an important part of the systemic mercury elimination program, as approximately 90% of the mercury is eliminated through the stool. Using large doses of chlorella facilitates fecal mercury excretion. After the intestinal mercury burden is lowered, mercury will more readily migrate into the intestine from other body tissues from where chlorella will effectively remove it. "When there is a lot of fiber in your diet, stools are large, soft and easy to pass. take away the fiber and the stools get small and hard. This makes it harder for the intestine to move them along. "The reason so many Americans have hemorrhoids is that the average fiber consumption in this country is 12 grams a day."   Prevention

“Impacted stools require substantial physical effort (straining) to eliminate them. The resulting pressure on the delicate and narrow anal canal causes anal tears (streaks of blood on stools), nerve damage (loss of urge sensation), and enlarged internal hemorrhoids (pain during defecation) as these large stools pass the anal canal. As these conditions progress, defecation becomes more and more difficult, painful, and incomplete, increasing the size of stools even more. As the stools' size and volume grows further, impacted stools stretch out the colon, and cause diverticulosis. Near permanent contact of large stools such as type 2 and 3 with the inner wall of the large intestine causes inevitable inflammation, strips down the mucus lining when moving down and out, and contributes to the formation of polyps and lesions.”   gutsense

"The healthy bowel is governed by intestinal bacteria in the same way healthy digestion is governed by digestive enzymes. When the enzymes get damaged or deficient, people suffer from malnutrition. When the intestinal bacteria get damaged or deficient, people suffer from bowel disorders that culminate in colon cancer. I was forced to include this protocol to pacify those who said I did not know $hit.

In all seriousness defecation is the final act of the digestive process. A proper bowel transit time, enzymes, fiber and water are all required for good digestion.

Scientists who study animals in the wild, study their defecation to learn much about the animal's diet and digestive processes. We would do well to emulate this study. I have learned much about my health by simply looking at my stools.

Folks if you are over 40 or if you are as you should be, curious about your health, you MUST check your stools for undigested food, at least on occasion. This is how I finally figured out my Stomach Acid production was too low. A little undigested food once and awhile or with some foods is OK but MOST of the times with many different foods and you have a serious problem of some sort and you MUST solve it. Most likely if you are older it’s a low Stomach Acid production or a digestive enzyme (See Digestive Enzymes Protocol) problem. If after research and effort you cannot produce uniform stools with little undigested food IMO you MUST see an integrative doctor.

Magnesium is OFTEN lacking with Hard Stools

“Magnesium is known to be deficient in over 68% of the US population, and more so in diabetics who waste magnesium more than others when blood sugars are out of control. Up to 80% of type 2 diabetics have a magnesium deficiency. Children labeled "pre diabetic" (now 41 million) are in great need of magnesium, which has been linked to preventing the development of type 2 diabetes.” Magnesium For Life Mark Sircus

Most of us are deficient in magnesium. The processed and junk foods often associated with SUGAR diabetes usually have their magnesium removed in processing. Magnesium is found mostly in raw unprocessed foods which most diabetics lack.

  

Flax and Defecation

100 Grams of Freshly Ground Flax Seed Provides

  • 35 grams of Flax Oil

  • 26 grams of Perfect Protein

  • 14 grams of Fiber   improves bowel transit time, creates fuller softer stools

  • 12 grams of Mucilage  sooths and protects GI tract improves digestion and bowel transit

For Colon Cancer One Bowel Movement per Meal is a MUST

“Missing even one bowel movement hardens stools, and makes the next defecation more difficult or downright impossible because so many adults past forty already suffer from colorectal nerve damage, and their colons no longer function properly. The moment you get irregular there is a strong tendency to return right back to fiber dependence, large stools, and antibiotics.”   gutsense

For colon cancer You want to have AT LEAST one bowel movement per meal. Of course this applies to all of us all the time. BUT with colon cancer your cancer was likely caused, at least in part, by toxins remaining in your colon TOO LONG. Your cancer strategy is to avoid eating toxins and to eliminate all toxins from your colon as soon as possible.

     

The Most Common Reason for Constipation

As the final step in your elimination phase of your digestive process your colon will squeeze every gram of water out of your stool should your body require water. This will produce a rock hard stool which is difficult to eliminate.

   

Consider Squat Defecation if You have any GI Problems

"The prevalences of bowel diseases (hemorrhoids, appendicitis, polyps, ulcerative colitis, irritable bowel syndrome, diverticular disease, and colon cancer) are similar in South African whites and in populations of prosperous western countries. Among rural South African blacks with a traditional life style, these diseases are very uncommon or almost unknown."    Squatting for defecation the way to go

I spend a lot of time in the woods and have long noticed that squatting to defecate was by far more simple, effective and natural than sitting on a throne. The evidence in favor of squatting is overwhelming. You can buy a simple platform to enable you to squat over a normal sit toilet.

     

Laxatives are Definitely NOT the Way to GO

"Getting mad or forgetful after taking a laxative? Well, according to the US Food and Drug Administration that’s exactly what certain best-selling laxatives can do to you. "   Is MiraLAX the next Vioxx?

“On the other hand, vitamin C is water-soluble and fights free radicals in the plasma. Vitamin C and E help regenerate each other as well. Vitamin C is especially vital in any detoxification programs, as the body needs it for energy to process and eliminate wastes. High doses of vitamin C can have a laxative effect as it attracts water. Vitamin C can be taken until the bowel tolerance level (BTL) is achieved. The BTL varies from one person to another. Some people may reach a tolerance level at four to five grams (4,000-5,000 mg) while others only reach tolerance at 10 to15 grams (10,000-15,000 mg). Cancer patients can easily consume 20 to 30 grams (20,000-30,000 mg) of vitamin C to reach tolerance level, as they require more vitamin C than most people do.” Doctor Michael Lam MD   Note once BTL is reached vitamin C can be given additionally with an IV

“Laxative use can be dangerous … If you frequently use certain laxatives over a period of weeks or months, they can decrease your colon's natural ability to contract and actually worsen constipation. In severe cases, overuse of laxatives can damage nerves, muscles and tissues of your large intestine.”     Mayo Clinic on Laxatives

"So skip the rye, insoluble fiber supplements, laxatives, enemas and everything else they throw your way. Instead, get some more soluble fiber in your diet from natural sources like barley, oatmeal and lentils.”   Doctor William Douglass MD

     

There is ABSOLUTELY NO reason to buy even a good non chemical laxative unless under a good doctors orders, please check out his orders.

      

You MUST figure out the simple problem of healthful defecation WITHOUT supplemental laxatives, herbal or chemical. healthful defecation is a KEY part of healthful living and MUST be accomplished healthfully. Constipation and other problems with defecation have easy solutions.

    

Coffee Enemas  and Glutathione

If you are serious about raising your glutathione. The coffee enema removes a VAST amount of toxins that would have been recirculated out of the colon and used a VAST amounts of glutathione to remove. This glutathione is now FREE to be used all over your body. This sparing of the glutathione is just as good as CREATING it.
