The fluoride in tea can bond with aluminum -- also
found in the leaves in small amounts -- making it undetectable by the usual
tests. Once he broke that bond, he got the true fluoride levels. He found more
than triple the expected amount of fluoride in some tea brands, as much as 9
milligrams per liter well above safe levels for regular consumption.”

Tea plants suck fluoride and aluminum from the ground slowly, over time -- so the trick is to get the youngest leaves, before they've had a chance to pick up all that poison. White tea -- the youngest tealeaves harvested, is also the healthiest.” Doctor William Douglass MD
“The authors of the study concluded that there is a favorable effect of modest green tea consumption on bone remodeling in pre-osteoporotic postmenopausal women. They also suggest that green tea and tai chi may help reduce the underlying cause of not only osteoporosis, but other inflammatory diseases as well. Green tea is one of three main categories of tea. The other two are black and oolong. Green tea is the least processed of the three and is steamed but unlike black and oolong, is not fermented. As a result, green tea is about five times higher in EGCG, a catechins or antioxidant, which is also found in red wine, chocolate, berries and apples.” Green Tea and Tai Chi Team Up to Protect Bones
"Green tea protects against many age-accelerating factors, particularly DNA damage, while also promoting DNA repair. These systems work with extreme precision to identify, remove, and heal damaged DNA.3,4 A recent analysis showed that green tea polyphenols have 200 human target genes, including those involved in inflammation, cancer, diabetes, neurodegenerative, muscular, and cardiovascular disease.5 In addition, green tea supplementation has been found to significantly reduce the risk of diabetes, stroke, and depression and improve blood levels of cholesterol and glucose.6 " Green Tea
"Data from this March 2017 analysis found a dose-associated reduction of prostate cancer risk in men who drank green tea. The more green tea men drank, the lower their prostate cancer risk based on linear analysis. When this study evaluated green tea polyphenol (catechin) intake, there was an associated 62% reduction in prostate cancer risk based upon three randomized controlled human trials." Green Tea and Prostate Cancer
"Besides its ability to improve circulation, it can help stabilize blood sugar and combat underlying causes of cancer. But it’s not just that green tea is healthy—it can reduce your risk of dying! A decade of meticulous research evaluated hundreds of thousands of people in relationship to their dietary habits. The results showed that the higher the consumption of green tea and its polyphenol constituents, the lower the overall risk of dying from any cause. This longevity benefit is especially pronounced in older populations. Green tea combats many underlying processes that contribute to premature aging and disease. Here, we’ll evaluate compelling studies showing that green tea reduces all-cause mortality. Then we’ll look at how green tea or its components help reduce the impact of specific health problems that contribute to premature death." Green Tea Reduces Mortality
"Studies published over the past decade are substantiating that green tea and its compounds can reduce our risk of dying from all causes. Significant green tea-associated reductions in all-cause mortality have been reported in a long series of studies in multiple populations, with effects as modest as a 5% reduction, up to a 76% reduction in the risk of dying. These human longevity benefits correlate with the ability of green tea to protect cells throughout our aging bodies against degenerative alterations. In response to higher intake of green tea and its extracts, studies reveal a reduced risk of developing cancer, diabetes, and vascular, neurodegenerative disorders. Polyphenol extracts from green tea represent a low-cost addition to an overall strategy to prevent disease and extend life." Green Tea Reduces Mortality
"LE: Green tea contains polyphenols, including epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG). Does this have an effect on neurogenesis? BC: Yes. Green tea’s polyphenols have been shown to increase BDNF (brain-derived neurotrophic factor, which appears to be the main signal that turns on neurogenesis), and to have strong health benefits ranging from cancer prevention, cardiovascular benefits, immunity improvement, and glucose reduction. EGCG and green tea’s other polyphenols not only increase neurogenesis but, like blueberries and omega-3s, exert powerful antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects as well. Green tea has clear cognitive benefits and even improves working memory, which is one of the most difficult functions to increase." The Neurogenesis Diet & Lifestyle Interview with author Brant Cortright, PhD
"Colorectal cancers are the third most common cancer that affects both men and women, and the second leading cause of cancer-related deaths in the US. ... One of the most promising discoveries is that green tea and its most active polyphenol constituent, epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG) has potent actions against colorectal cancer. In the past year, new research findings have been published on green tea’s effects on colorectal cancer. Together, these studies tell a compelling story about green tea’s potential cancer-preventive properties." Green Tea Protects Against Colorectal Cancer
"All living things rely on their genetic blueprint, preserved in DNA, to maintain functional molecules. But many factors, such as oxidative stress and environmental toxins, can damage DNA. Green tea has demonstrated DNA-protective effects even during exposure to environmental contaminants such as cigarette smoke." Are You Getting the Full Benefits of Drinking Green Tea?
"Green tea is rich in the polyphenol anti-oxidant catechin called epigallocatechin-3-gallate (EGCG). This anti-oxidant is thought by most to be responsible for the health benefits linked to green tea consumption. EGCG has been identified to have a profound effect on the Nrf2-ARE pathway (50) Research has shown that EGCG stimulates the Nrf2 anti-oxidant activity in immune cells, liver and intestinal cells (51, 52). Through this mechanism it also modulates cancer cell proliferation, differentiation, apoptosis, adhesion, angiogenesis and metastasis (53, 54).A study published in December 2004 in Cancer Research discussed how ECGC in green tea was able to decrease insulin-like growth factor-1 (IGF-1) while increasing levels of IGF binding protein-3, which binds IGF-1. This reduces the risk of breast, colon, prostate & lung cancer. It also inhibits key cancer survival proteins and reduces the expression of compounds associated with cancer metastasis (55)." 5 Ways to Activate the Anti-oxidant Benefits of Nrf2
Green tea is proving to be quite fashionable these days. Green Tea shows up on a lot of very impressive lists. IMO take primarily as supplements equal to six or so cups.

Green Tea Supplements
"Green tea has been recognized as a natural defense against disorders ranging from cardiovascular disease and cancer to depression and cognitive decline. Like other “smart drinks” such as coffee or cocoa, the key factor behind green tea’s many health benefits lies in its rich polyphenol content. These healthy compounds have been associated6—like green tea itself7—with lower all-cause mortality. Many of the benefits associated with green tea require consumption of more than one cup per day. These benefits are usually seen in a dose-response relationship, meaning the more you drink, the more protection you get." Are You Getting the Full Benefits of Drinking Green Tea?
I use a green tea supplement which gives me the equivalent of several cups of green tea per capsule. I often enjoy a cup of tea as a beverage.
"Overall, purple tea provides more oxidant reduction than any other teas. Anthocyanins exert antimicrobial, cell-protective, antitumor, lipid-lowering, and neuroprotective properties—all of which have implications for disease prevention and promotion of good health. Although teas in general contain lower levels of caffeine than coffee, the caffeine content of purple tea is even lower than that of black or green tea. Purple tea’s flavor has elements of both green and black teas and must be tasted to be appreciated. This unique tea has now become a much sought-after prize in connoisseur-tea circles internationally." Are You Getting the Full Benefits of Drinking Green Tea?
Purple tea is a patented variety of green tea. Sounds good lets see how pricey it is.
Green Tea Warning
Green Tea can have one
awful component, each cup can contain
milligrams of deadly fluoride (See Fluoride Protocol). To make matters worse for human health,
fluorides in teas are found together with
Aluminum. The combination of aluminum and fluorides in tea is of
urgent concern, due to the increased damage done by fluorides when in the
presence of aluminum, especially brain, neurological and renal damage. If
you consume green tea everyday as I do you MUST assume you are getting a daily
dose of both fluoride and aluminum.

Both fluoride and aluminum are rather easily dealt with.
