"Hyaluronic acid is found throughout most tissues in the body, with the greatest concentration in the skin. It has an unmatched capacity to attract and retain up to 1,000 times its weight in water. Hyaluronic acid forms the extracellular matrix, a loose hydrated network that provides structural integrity and cohesion to skin. Hyaluronic acid is a KEY player in joint and connective tissue  as well as skin health. IMO it will pay you great dividends to learn a little about this KEY player in your health. By taking oral sources of HA you will increase your internally generated HA. Low HA is often a limiting condition in joint and connective tissue health. As the above research shows you should always try to take your HA supplements with phospholipids such as fish or krill oil.

Our SAD diet has virtually eliminated most sources of HA. Bone broths and soups are a great source of HA.

The Japanese with high body levels of hyaluronic acid have been found to have excellent joint health. They eat a fish and vegetable diet with many fermented foods and radishes.
