Sulfur Protocol

Sulfur is a Required KEY Mineral and Essential Nutrient

YOU Must Assure Sufficient Sulfur in Your Body

"Doctor Seneff believes it's important to address sulfate deficiency whenever you're suffering with a chronic disease, including cancer and lymphoma. In her opinion, eating sulfur-rich foods is part and parcel of the solution. Garlic is a very good source of sulfur. Raw garlic is the most potent. According to Dr. Seneff, you don't need to concern yourself with the issue of sulfate transport because the garlic form of sulfur is very easy to transport. Your red blood cells oxidize it to sulfate, and it gets into your blood as sulforaphane."    Glyphosate-Treated Wheat Promotes Celiac Disease   Note yet another reason why raw garlic should be eaten Every Day

"Sulfur is required for the synthesis of glutathione, one of our premier endogenous antioxidants. I’ve talked a bit about glutathione before. It’s one of the good ones. Sulfur, in the form of disulfide bonds, provides strength and resiliency to hair, feathers, and feathered hair. Sulfur is required for taurine synthesis. Taurine is essential for proper functioning of the cardiovascular system, our muscles, and the central nervous system. Sulfur binds the two chains of amino acids that form insulin. It may seem like we bag on insulin a lot, but it’s absolutely necessary for life. Sulfur is found in methionine, an essential amino acid (think meat, eggs, cheese), and in cysteine, a “non-essential” amino acid (think pork, poultry, eggs, milk)."   Why you should eat sulfur rich vegetables

“Onion’s arthritis healing power comes from its sulfur compounds, vitamin C, and the flavonoid quercetin. Sulfur is a critical component of healthy cartilage—and the sulfur compounds in onions have been shown to significantly drive down inflammation by inhibiting the enzymes directly responsible for joint inflammation. Healthy joints need sufficient blood levels of sulfur, so it isn't surprising that people with arthritis are frequently deficient in it. Researchers analyzing the amount of sulfur in fingernails found that arthritis sufferers have far less of it than people who don’t have arthritis. Sulfur compounds also have positive immunostimulant properties, which is important for people with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) because it is an autoimmune disease.”   Doctor Steven Sinatra MD

There are several dozen sulfur-containing derivatives of the amino acid cysteine found in cabbage and an equivalent number of associated sulfoxides as well. Other sulfur-containing (thiol) molecules are formed when cabbage is cooked. While some of these compounds are definitely volatile and lost during cooking, or over time after the cabbage has been chopped, not all are removed.”   WHF

“The decrease in cardiovascular deaths could be staggering if larger numbers of the population took Chondroitin Sulfate.”  Lester M. Morrison, M.D., F.A.C.A.

“In Europe patients with arthritis are routinely given glucosamine and chondroitin to stimulate the growth of new cartilage, stemming the progression of osteoarthritis and even reversing it.  Some American doctors and patients are now using these nutrients with incredible success.”    Jean Carper, Note only the sulfate forms should be used

“In a large nine month study at several medical centers 252 doctors compared glucosamine sulfate 1,500 mg daily with other common treatments in 1,506 osteoarthritis patients. Glucosamine surpassed anti-inflammation agents, injectible cartilage extracts, vitamins and all other oral agents. The glucosamine brought improvement to 95% of subjects even many who had not responded to any other medical treatment.” Portugal Study, Note the sulfur form is used

“Dietary sulfate in food and water, together with sulfate derived from methionine and cysteine found in dietary protein and the cysteine component of glutathione, provides sulfate for use in PAPS biosynthesis. Sulfate requirements are thus met when intakes include recommended levels of sulfur amino acids.”   Dietary Reference Intakes for  Sulfate

"Garlic and onions contain allyl sulfides, powerful antioxidants, that protect our genes, promote detoxification of carcinogens, lower blood pressure, and boost immune defenses."   Doctor Al Sears MD

"Garlic and onion consumption plays a significant role in the reduced number of cancer deaths."   William Fischer, Note both are high in many forms of sulfur

"Substances called isothiocyanates (ITCs) found in broccoli, cauliflower, watercress and other cruciferous vegetables, appear to stop the growth of cancer."   Life Extension, Note isothiocyanates are sulfur containing compounds

“The good news ... is that ‘HDAC inhibitors’ can stop this degenerative process, and some of them have already been identified in common foods. Examples include sulforaphane in broccoli, indole-3-carbinol in cruciferous vegetables, and organosulfur compounds in vegetables like garlic and onions.”   Eurekalert April 28, 2010, Note the common element SULFUR IMO make sure  your take some MSM often

"[I]f you breakdown the sulfate you will release energy, which means that the sulfate is actually absorbing the energy from light... I think of the skin as a battery – or solar panel you might say – taking in the sun's energy and saving it in the form of the sulfate molecule storing the energy from the sun. One thing I'm quite sure of is that cholesterol sulfate is highly protective against bacterial and virus invasions. That's why sun exposure protects you from infection. It strengthens your immune system. That cholesterol sulfate is incredibly important to immunity."   Doctor Stephanie Seneff, PhD

"Both cholesterol and sulfur afford protection in the skin from radiation damage to the cell's DNA, the kind of damage that can lead to skin cancer. Cholesterol and sulfur become oxidized upon exposure to the high frequency rays in sunlight, thus acting as antioxidants to "take the heat," so to speak. Oxidation of cholesterol is the first step in the process by which cholesterol transforms itself into vitamin D3."   Doctor Stephanie Seneff, PhD

"In this way [sun exposure], your skin will produce cholesterol sulfate, which will then flow freely through the blood—not packaged up inside LDL—and therefore your liver doesn't have to make so much LDL. So the LDL goes down. In fact... there is a complete inverse relationship between sunlight and cardiovascular disease – the more sunlight, the less cardiovascular disease."   Doctor Stephanie Seneff PhD

Examples include sulforaphane in broccoli, indole-3-carbinol in cruciferous vegetables, and organosulfur compounds in vegetables like garlic and onions.”   Eurekalert April 28, 2010, Note the common element SULFUR IMO make sure  your take some MSM often

"Taurine is a sulfur-rich amino acid that plays a key role in detoxification and liver support.  The liver uses taurine to produce bile, which is essential for the conjugation and removal of heavy metals, chlorine, aldehydes, petroleum solvents, alcohol, and ammonia. Chemically sensitive individuals, vegans and vegetarians tend to have taurine deficiency, and those who abuse alcohol, use oral contraceptives, require cortisone therapy or have high stress levels typically have higher taurine requirements."    Taming the Toxins

"Sulfur is an element of surprising importance in our health. It's a unique part of the protein in our food because most foods contain at least small amounts of sulfur amino acids, including taurine, methionine, and cysteine. Sulfur is critical in our ability to detoxify unwanted contaminants, and many contaminants in our food cannot be eliminated from our body without the help of sulfur. This element is also essential in our body's antioxidant protection, and many of our most critical antioxidant molecules—including glutathione—are sulfur-containing. Sulfur also plays a unique role in the structure of our connective tissue, through its incorporation into molecules like glucosamine sulfate and chondroiton sulfate. So as you can see, this mineral is truly "whole body" in its health support role."    WHF  Molybdenum

"Sulfur, after calcium and phosphorus, is the most abundant mineral element found in our body. It is available to us in our diets, derived almost exclusively from proteins, and yet only 2 of the 20 amino acids normally present in proteins contains sulfur. One of these amino acids, methionine, cannot be synthesized by our bodies and therefore has to be supplied by the diet. Cysteine, another sulfur containing amino acid, and a large number of key metabolic intermediates essential for life, are synthesized by us, but the process requires a steady supply of sulfur. Proteins contain between 3 and 6% of sulfur amino acids. A very small percentage of sulfur comes in the form of inorganic sulfates and other forms of organic sulfur present in foods such as garlic, onion, broccoli, etc."   Are we getting enough sulfur in our diet?

"Sulfur containing metabolites, of which glutathione is a key exponent, merge in their functioning with many other compounds that play a major role in mechanisms which are receiving tremendous interests as parts of conventional and complementary medical care. These include the n-3 and n-6 polyunsaturated fatty acids, minerals such as Selenium, Zinc, Copper and Magnesium, vitamins E and C, antioxidants such as the proanthocyanidins and lipoic acid, many of which are involved in the synthesis of prostaglandins and in the antioxidant cascade. More and more evidence is accumulating and focusing on the cooperative role that glutathione and other sulfur metabolites play in the homeostatic control of these fundamental mechanisms."   Are we getting enough sulfur in our diet?

We require Sulfur to live. Dietary Sulfur, contained mostly in protein, is used to build proteins and detoxify many substances. As you can see in the above quote from the NCBI sulfur can be seen, quite aptly, as a sort of glue that  holds together many of our KEY body compounds,

Sulfur, in the form of cholesterol-sulfate may play an important part in the operation of our hearts and brains

A diet high in meat and animal products may supply too MUCH sulfur and result in the loss of calcium and an acidic ph and many other problems. Too much protein in your diet is NOT good. A diet low in meat and animal products may not supply enough bioavailable Sulfur unless you eat the numerous vegetables containing sulfur. Since I do not eat a lot of meat, although I eat plenty of eggs, I make sure to eat a lot of sulfur containing vegetables. The very bioavailable sulfur supplement MSM is a great way to get a nice shot of sulfur for many uses and should be used by the elderly to assure sulfur IMO.

Suboptimal Sulfur levels can be a problem for some people. This may result in suboptimal detoxification because sulfur is a key element in the sulfation and methylation detoxification pathways.

Sulfur is found in meat and animal products, fresh uncooked, unprocessed foods, cruciferous vegetables. legumes, onions, garlic, cabbage, Olive oil, coconut oil, and Brussel sprouts. Garlic is an especially good bioavailable source of sulfur; I eat raw garlic every day.

Epsom Salt is an inexpensive source of both magnesium and sulfur; for ingestion use infrequently and in small amounts. You will see why if you overdo; it does make a good GI Tract flush/cleanse. I use a half a cup in my baths.

Sulfur Functions

"Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S) is a gaseous byproduct (frequently remarked to be the causative smell of eggs[41]) that appears to act as a signalling molecule, similar to Nitric Oxide in the sense that it promotes vasorelaxation of blood vessels (although the mechanism is by stimulating KATP channels[42][43]) and has anti-oxidative capabilities. A circulating H2S pool of 10-100uM exists in the human body[44][45] although higher (130uM) has been reported in healthy persons. ... At the outset, H2S (Hydrogen Sulfide) appears to be a heart healthy (cardioprotective) signalling molecule that is derived from a circulating Cysteine pool; Cysteine remains in storage in the body, and serves to buffer a pool of H2S that preserves physiological functions"   Very Complete Composition and Characteristics of Whey   Note Whey can be a convenient and cheap vessel of dietary L-Cysteine

“The decrease in cardiovascular deaths could be staggering if larger numbers of the population took Chondroitin Sulfate.”  Lester M. Morrison, M.D., F.A.C.A.

Sulforaphane Properties

"Sulforaphane, a compound found in broccoli and other cruciferous vegetables, supports your skin’s ability to detoxify and provides powerful protection against damage caused by UV radiation. Broccoli sprouts contain glucoraphanin, which is converted to sulforaphane, as well as a variety of potent antioxidants, including beta-carotene, a naturally occurring form of vitamin A that is converted to retinol. IN combination, these phytonutrients improve skin health and can reverse and help prevent signs of aging."   Broccoli Sprouts are Bursting with Phytonutrients

"An article published on September 2, 2014, in the journal Antioxidants and Redox Signaling provides evidence that beneficial compounds from broccoli, onions, and other foods could boost cellular defense.* The current study centers on Nrf2, a protein that enters and exits the cells’ nuclei once every 129 minutes, according to research first conducted by Professor Paul J. Thornalley, of England’s University of Warwick, and associates. When the protein is exposed to health threats, the rate of oscillation and cellular defense increases. Dr. Thornalley’s team found that sulforaphane, found in broccoli and other cruciferous vegetables, and quercetin, from onions, apples, and other plant foods, increase Nrf2’s speed of oscillation between the cell’s nucleus and cytoplasm to once every 80 minutes."    Antiox Redox Signal. 2014 Sep 2

"This is the compound [Sulforaphane] found in cruciferous veggies and most densely in broccoli sprouts.  SFN was identified as a chemopreventive agent over a decade ago on the basis of its capability to induce phase II detoxification enzymes, and to inhibit phase I enzymes involved in the activation of carcinogens (40). Research demonstrates that sulforaphane, through induction of Nrf2-dependent phase 2 enzymes, protects the brain against hypoxic-ischemic injury and may improve cognitive function when administered following traumatic brain injury (41, 42).  Additionally, it protect the brain from neurodegenerative states and amyloid plaque buildup as seen in the pathogenesis of Alzheimer’s disease (43, 44)"   5 Ways to Activate the Anti-oxidant Benefits of Nrf2

"Broccoli is one of the most therapeutic foods on the planet, offering more nutrition per calorie than any other food. A prominent member of the cruciferous family of vegetables, broccoli plays an important role in the Arthritis Healing Diet. It offers significant arthritis relief because it is loaded with anti-inflammatory and antioxidant substances, including sulforaphane, vitamin C, vitamin K, beta carotene, calcium, and the pain-reliever salicylic acid.”   Doctor Steven Sinatra MD

"Sulforaphane, which is a potent inducer of Phase 2 liver detoxification enzymes, which detoxify carcinogens, also has a dose-dependent ability to induce cell growth arrest and cell death via apoptosis in both leukemia and melanoma cells.    Oncology Report

Your red blood cells oxidize it to sulfate, and it gets into your blood as sulforaphane. "    Glyphosate-Treated Wheat Promotes Celiac Disease

"Eating broccoli raw gives you 20 times more of a beneficial compound called sulforaphane than cooked. Sulforaphane provides much of the vegetable’s anticancer properties. If you cook broccoli in boiling water, half the glucosinolates will leach out. If you deep fry, you lose even more. Nuking can destroy half its nutrients in two minutes. One of the best ways is to steam it for no more than four minutes…to retain the most nutrients. Another recommended way to cook is to sauté in extra virgin olive oil and garlic. The vegetables will absorb the phytonutrients in the oil and garlic, which can make it even more nutritious."   Eating On The Wild Side   Note this method can be profitably used on most vegetables you feel you must cook. Here is a secret; cook half mix in half RAW.

"In the March, 2009 issue of Clinical Immunology, researchers from the David Geffen School of Medicine at the University of California, Los Angeles and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency report that sulforaphane, a compound that occurs in cruciferous vegetables such as broccoli, may help protect against respiratory inflammation and the diseases it causes, including asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, and allergic rhinitis." Life Extension

"Because the concentration of sulforaphane is much higher in broccoli sprouts than in the mature broccoli an ounce of sprouts may provide the same reduction in risk from cancer as two pounds of mature broccoli."

"Epigenetics is genetic control on top of your DNA. Every cell carries the same information, but the information you needed as a neonate you may not need as an adult. As the needs change, the methylation pattern of the DNA changes, blocking your body from transcribing that information. It’s a control mechanism. You also have epigenetic drift, which is how the environment affects the methylation patterns. Chronic inflammation from things like chemical pollution, alcohol, smoking and UV light causes a negative methylation drift that can lead to aging and cancer. There are also beneficial epigenetic modifiers, such as sulforaphane, resveratrol and curcumin. So you can affect your genes positively by eating good things."   Dr. Sandra Kaufmann The Science of Slowing Aging   Note here is a great introduction to basic Epigenetics

"So how do you protect DNA? The best agents I’ve found are sulforaphanes, which you find in broccoli and other cruciferous vegetables; the medicinal plant astragalus; and the diabetes drug metformin."   Dr. Sandra Kaufmann The Science of Slowing Aging

"Kale provides a superior level of sulforaphane—a unique cancer-fighting compound.2 Sulforaphane boosts detoxification, the cleansing process by which the body eliminates harmful compounds, possibly by its induction of phase II detoxification enzymes, in addition to its boosting of antioxidant enzymes.2 As well as strongly enhancing natural detoxification mechanisms, sulforaphane also exerts chemoprotective effects through its demonstrated anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory activity.3,4 Sulforaphane inhibits a group of enzymes that alter gene expression and produce proteins involved in initiating cancer.5 Critically, scientists recently learned that kale stimulates the body’s production of immunoglobulin (Ig), proteins used by the immune system to identify and neutralize foreign invaders.6 "   Kale Immunostimulatory And Anticancer Effects

"Scientists at the University of East Anglia say initial laboratory tests find a bioactive compound in broccoli -- sulforaphane -- blocks the enzymes linked to the joint destruction in osteoarthritis, the most common form of arthritis.”    Life Extension

"Sulforaphane is activated when broccoli is chewed. When you break the plant’s cells, the chemical is formed. Diindolylmethane (DIM) is also produced as a consequence of chewing and digesting broccoli. Studies demonstrate DIM’s ability to stimulate proteins that help regulate the immune system. This is important news for those with RA, because the immune system is intimately involved in this inflammatory condition. And broccoli sprouts contain 50 times the sulforaphane found in the mature vegetable, endowing one ounce of sprouts with as much antioxidant power as three pounds of fully grown broccoli. Broccoli sprouts are so tasty even kids will eat them.”    Doctor Steven Sinatra MD

2014 Sep 2

“In this study, sulforaphane was able to completely eradicate H. pylori in 8 of 11 laboratory animals that had been infected with the bacterium.”

Sulforaphane is a very important anti-cancer compound as well a prevention element for many other diseases. Sulforaphane improves your detoxification, anti-inflammatory, anti-stress and anti-oxidant capacity.

Nrf2 Pathways and Sulfur

"This Keap1-Nrf2 pathway regulates over 600 genes involved in cellular protection and anti-oxidant defenses.  These various genes act to boost major anti-oxidant and detoxifying enzymes such as glutathione and superoxide dismutase.  They also promote anti-inflammatory prostaglandins and enzymes and improve tissue healing and repair (7, 8)."   5 Ways to Activate the Anti-oxidant Benefits of Nrf2

Oxygenation  Cancer and Sulfur

“Nobel laureate Albert Szent-Gyorgyi [discoverer of Vitamin C] showed that omega 3 when combined with sulphur based proteins stimulates the oxygenation processes of the body.”    William Fischer   Note Doctor Budwig also discovered sulphur based proteins and omega 3 promoted the oxygenation of the body and thus helped cure her stage 4 cancer patients.

Several other things are required to assure the proper oxygenation of your body.

Arthritis and Sulfur

“Onion’s arthritis healing power comes from its sulfur compounds, vitamin C, and the flavonoid quercetin .

"A simple bone broth is loaded with healing nutrients—including collagen, hyaluronic acid, chondroitin sulfate, glycosaminoglycans (GAGs), glycine, proline (which helps create collagen), and sulfur compounds—which are necessary for the creation and repair of damaged joint cartilage.”   Doctor Steven Sinatra MD

“In Europe patients with arthritis are routinely given glucosamine and chondroitin to stimulate the growth of new cartilage, stemming the progression of osteoarthritis and even reversing it.  Some American doctors and patients are now using these nutrients with incredible success.”    Jean Carper

Sulfur is essential for both prevention and treatment for both osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis.

Proteoglycans form a matrix through the joint collagen and are essential as they hold many times their own weight in water, which both lubricates and nourishes the joint. An essential component of proteoglycans is sulfur. If you are low on sulfur Doctor Stephanie Seneff PhD posits your body may steal sulfur from your joints for more critical uses thus contributing to arthritis.

Cancer and Sulfur

"Garlic and onion consumption plays a significant role in the reduced number of cancer deaths."   William Fischer, Note both are high in many forms of sulfur

"Substances called isothiocyanates (ITCs) found in broccoli, cauliflower, watercress and other cruciferous vegetables, appear to stop the growth of cancer."   Life Extension

“Eating broccoli and other cruciferous vegetables, garlic and onions helps to activate tumor suppressor genes that fight cancer.”     Doctor Joseph Mercola MD

"Doctor Seneff believes it's important to address sulfate deficiency whenever you're suffering with a chronic disease, including cancer and lymphoma. Since sulfur plays such a critical part in oxygenation and detoxification it only makes sense to supply it in copious amounts for cancer prevention and treatment. Since sulfur is acidic you must assure your basic body state by compensating by eating basic foods and checking your pH.

Skin Cancer, CVD, Sunshine, Sulfur and Vitamin D

"Both cholesterol and sulfur afford protection in the skin from radiation damage to the cell's DNA, the kind of damage that can lead to skin cancer. Cholesterol and sulfur become oxidized upon exposure to the high frequency rays in sunlight, thus acting as antioxidants to "take the heat," so to speak. Oxidation of cholesterol is the first step in the process by which cholesterol transforms itself into vitamin D3."   Doctor Stephanie Seneff, PhD

“In a study of 120 coronary heart disease patients half took 1500 mg per day of chondroitin sulfate (CS). After six years four people in the CS group had died while 13 people in the other group died. In the CS group 6 people had acute cardiac incidents while 42 patients in the group that did not receive CS had acute events.”    Morrison et al 1969

Sulfur plays a critical role in protecting your skin to include your DNA as well as your heart and cardio vascular system.

Sulfur is Found in Animal Products

SulfurRichFoods

"Sulfur is derived almost exclusively from animal protein such as fish and high-quality (organic and/or grass-fed/pastured) beef and poultry. Meat and fish are considered "complete" as they contain all the sulfur-containing amino acids you need to produce new protein. Needless to say, those who abstain from animal protein are placing themselves at far greater risk of sulfur deficiency."   Doctor Joseph Mercola MD

IMO if you do not eat fish or red meat often Please make sure you eat some other animal products such as eggs, an excellent food.  Lacking meat or animal products you should assure a good sulfur source in your diet such as found in some raw unprocessed UNCOOKED vegetable foods and MSM. Cooking food destroys much of the volatile sulfur compounds.

Doctor Stephanie Seneff's Sulfur Theory of Heart and Brain Disease

"In this way [sun exposure], your skin will produce cholesterol sulfate, which will then flow freely through the blood—not packaged up inside LDL—and therefore your liver doesn't have to make so much LDL. So the LDL goes down. In fact... there is a complete inverse relationship between sunlight and cardiovascular disease – the more sunlight, the less cardiovascular disease."   Doctor Stephanie Seneff PhD

"Heart disease, I think, is a cholesterol deficiency problem, and in particular a cholesterol sulfate deficiency problem..."   Doctor Stephanie Seneff PhD

"They take in sulfate, and they produce cholesterol sulfate in the plaque. The sulfate actually comes from homocysteine. Homocysteine is a source of sulfate. So everything is there and the intent is to produce cholesterol sulfate and it's done in the arteries feeding the heart, because it's the heart that needs the cholesterol sulfate. If [cholesterol sulfate is not produced]... you end up with heart failure."    Doctor Stephanie Seneff PhD   Note this could be SCD

“As a quick summary, when you expose your skin to sunshine, your skin synthesizes vitamin D3 sulfate. This form of vitamin D is water soluble, unlike oral vitamin D3 supplements, which is unsulfated. The water-soluble form can travel freely in your bloodstream, whereas the unsulfated form needs LDL (the so-called "bad" cholesterol) as a vehicle of transport. Her suspicion is that the oral non-sulfated form of vitamin D may not provide all of the same benefits as the vitamin D created in your skin from sun exposure, because it cannot be converted to vitamin D sulfate. I believe this is a very compelling reason to really make a concerted effort to get most of your vitamin D requirements from exposure to sunshine, or by using a safe tanning bed (one with electronic ballasts rather than magnetic ballasts, to avoid unnecessary exposure to EMF fields). Safe tanning beds also have less of the dangerous UVA than sunlight, while unsafe ones have more UVA than sunlight. If neither of these are feasible options, then you should take an oral vitamin D3 supplement.”   Doctor Mercola speaking on the work of Doctor Stephanie Seneff

“The decrease in cardiovascular deaths could be staggering if larger numbers of the population took Chondroitin Sulfate.”  Lester M. Morrison, MD, F.A.C.A.

"In summary, when you eat a diet high in fructose and other sugars, it over-taxes your liver as it cannot properly make cholesterol while simultaneously processing fructose (which it turns into fat). As a result, you end up with impaired cholesterol formation, which can eventually lead to a cholesterol- and cholesterol sulfate deficiency. At that point, your body begins to form arterial plaque to compensate for this deficiency, because your platelets can produce the cholesterol sulfate your heart and brain needs within that plaque. It's a sort of backup mechanism to maintain proper heart- and brain function.”   Doctor Joseph Mercola MD commenting on the cholesterol work of Doctor Stephanie Seneff

Your red blood cells oxidize it to sulfate, and it gets into your blood as sulforaphane. "    Glyphosate-Treated Wheat Promotes Celiac Disease

Doctor Stephanie Seneff PhD believes your heart and brain BOTH require cholesterol sulfate to function. This cholesterol sulfate is created by sunshine on your skin; or by converted homocysteine; or in your blood stream in arterial plaque. Thus it is possible that a FUNCTION of SOME arterial plaque may be due to a lack of sunshine. Incroyable but perhaps true. So folks get that sunshine, you KNOW you need it. Sulfur compound assurance is just one more reason

The coronary arteries, feeding blood into your heart is often the site of arterial plaque. IMO this may indicate you may not be getting enough sun and-or may have excess homocysteine in your blood.

The carotid artery, feeding blood into your brain is often the site of arterial plaque. IMO this may indicate you may not be getting enough sun and-or may have excess homocysteine in your blood.

Some sulfur is obtained from cysteine resulting from the converted homocysteine. If the homocysteine is not converted this may result in your heart and-or brain running low on  the critical cholesterol sulfate.

Aging and Sulfur

"Overcooking vegetables, including cabbage, is one of the best ways I know to rob vegetables of their nutrient benefits; when it comes to cabbage this includes its sulfur-related benefits. I recommend about five minutes (at most) for the steaming or "Healthy Sautéing" of raw cabbage. Prior to cooking, I recommend about the five-minute waiting period to allow sulfur-related changes to occur in the freshly chopped cabbage.”    WHF

As we age we lose much of our ability to produce our internal sources of sulfur as from sunshine. For example we know a 70 year old man needs about three to four times as much sunshine as a 20 year old man to produce the same amount of vitamin D. We also lose some of our ability to make bioavailable much of our raw ingested sources of sulfur.

Why do we become more sickly as we age? Do you think sulfur has something to do with it? You bet it does! Please work to assure you get sufficient sulfur. The extremely bioavailable and digestible sulfur in EGGS and GARLIC is a great place to start; just make sure you UNDERCOOK those eggs.

Then make sure you get SUNSHINE; hours of SUNSHINE; high noon SUNSHINE; SUNSHINE with NO chemical gunk on your thirsty skin. SUNSHINE; SUNSHINE; SUNSHINE. What did the man say? LOL

MSM a Great Sulfur Source

“MSM, which is a metabolite of DMSO, and approved for use in humans, primarily impacts your health by reducing inflammation. It’s widely used as a supplement for arthritic conditions. Like DMSO, MSM also appears to improve cell wall permeability, so it can be used to help deliver other active ingredients. Perhaps most important, MSM helps protect against oxidative damage.”   MSM, DSMO, Sulfur and Health

MSM (See MSM Protocol) supplies high quality sulfur. I try to take 3 grams of MSM often and LOTS when I am having a detoxification problem. After each hike I take 7 or so grams a day for a week or so to flush out any parasites I may have acquired.

Now with  the radiation detoxification scare I am taking it at least once or twice a week.

Me and Sulfur

SulfurRichFoods

I have felt strongly about the importance of SULFUR for robust good health for most of my life and have made SURE I get plenty of SULFUR and plenty often. My daily garlic and or onions is the closest thing to certain in my life. I attribute much of my great health to SULFUR. Well I am sure the man upstairs likes sulfur also. LOL
